About the Author

MeShawn DeBerry is an emerging novelist with a passion for exploring the profound personal transformations ignited by travel and cross-cultural encounters. A natural storyteller, DeBerry channels a creative spirit and hard-won resilience into writing, dedicated to the craft of capturing authentic human experiences. Their work delves into the nuanced relationships and inner growth that arise when characters are placed far outside their comfort zones.

This was a very interesting story that took me on a journey with Allen Court in Finland.

The story itself is good. Solid storyline written in enough of a sporadic sense it's believable to imagine you're in the character's head. I think Allen's personal back story could have been developed a little more, and it would've made him easier to understand. I did feel like he was interesting and level headed. He was decided and calculating even with his spontaneous decisions. I enjoyed the book but it is in severe need of proofreading and a little editing because there are some errors in that area. The tempo seemed to change once he got to Egypt and I would've liked the book to flow similarly throughout. It almost felt like two different authors wrote this book. If the author is interested I'd volunteer to proofread and edit it for him.
